Startby having the freon gas checked, next would be a stuck blend door, this door is controled by an actuator motor, i would say the motor has gone bad if you cant get the hot air from coming inside, you turn to cold on the selector it shouldnt be hot air maybe warm depending on the temp outside,.

2004 chvy suburban, the front AC works fine, but the rear AC does not work at all. Is this a quick fix?

rear a/c fan may have a seperate fuse or relay. The same A/C system cools both the rear and front, only the temperature controls and the fan are seperate.

Heater\AC no air in front 05 suburban

ase mechanic:

Sounds like a problem with the front blower motor. there is a blower motor resistor for the front blower motor that controls the speed of the blower and tends to go bad or fry out the blower motor. thats the most likely scenerio since you stated the control head was lighting up and responded to button changes.
