Gm had customer complaints due to the noise They would rattle pretty good right around 2000 rpm, the fix was to the replace the balance shaft gears at the same time endless the rattle noise didn't bother you.

Grinding clutch

I'm a little confused on your description of the noise. If I understand you correctly It is making the noise when it shifts smoothly into gear but at the same time it makes a grinding noise ? It possibly can be synchronizers if the grooves on the inside of the synchronizers are worn bad enough to where the gear isn't slowing down enough causing a grind as the clutching teeth on the gear mesh with the synchrode and the shift collar.
If it is making noise in all gears except 4th you may have countershaft brgs failing. The power flow in 4th gear goes directly through the mainshaft and has a 1 to 1 ratio. All other gears the powerflow goes through the countershaft causing a load on the countershaft so if you have bearings failing in the countershaft you will hear noise in all gears but 4th.
i hope I understood you correctly .

1995 GMC SONOMA makes a loud sqeaking noise when i take off in the first to third gear, after third gear it stops, but when i get to a stop sighn it starts all back over, loud noise.

This type of noise is likely to be a universal joint that is worn out in the drive line. have a shop put it on a lift and inspect the joints.

How do u remove the timing gears on a 99 gmc sonoma wiith 4.3 vortec 4x4

you will need to drain the antifreeze first than take the radaitor out then start taking every thing off the front of motor as like water pump alternator power stering pump brackets and under all that mess will be a cover thats the timing cover you will have to make sure its at top dead center by checking for number one cylinder is at the hights point you will need to remove the crank shaft pully too when the timing cover is off check for dot to dot on gears they should be straight up as dot on crank would be on top and cam gear would be on top if is unbolt the gears and remove then reverse the prosess to install good luck if you have problems you could go to the parts store and buy a haynes book that would be very helpfull

99 gmc sonoma 4.3 timing chain is it hard to do?

Its not the easiest Gm ever gave us. you have to remove the oil pan to get the front cover off and there is also a balance shaft that tends to make more noise after you do the timing chain. A lot of technicians end having to do it twice because of the noise after.
