HI this is a very common problem. Check with your local parts supplier they make over size self tapping bolts for this problem. If you use these be careful not to over tighten them and i recommend using blue loctite. good luck

There is no fuse. The speed control servo is powered and controlled by the PCM but does get input from the brake switch. Check the brake switch and also the vacuum to the servo.

I have a 2009 doge caravan and i just try to change the rear breakes but the caliper is not going back. i try a clamp but stil not going back, i open the main brake fluit bottle to release presure but...

Rear brake pads last about 70,000 miles, that is 5 years or more !!!

Turn the parking brake in,turn the caliper piston in first, then compress piston.

Ratchet park brake up ,after back together and system bleed (all 4 corners)

The selective work only on high speed for heat or airconditioner doge caravan 2000 3.3l

i had the same problem last year with the same model, what you need to change is the blower motor resistor/power module. this is located under the hood on the passenger side right on the core housing. i used a flat screwdriver to pull it out. you will get a better idea of the part to change when you get a new one. inspect the old one and for sure you will see that the wire type connection inside is burnt and or corroded. Enjoy !

Oil licking for my doge caravan 1998, how do i repaire or replack

The oil doesn't leak from the head gasket, Unless it is broken. The oil is inside the engine, the head gasket seals out the water from the cylinder walls, and keeps the compression in. No oil, It could be coming from the rocker cover gasket just above the heads. They always leak. The engine sits at a slight pitch to get the oil out and down. And it usually leaks at the rear the most. Changing those gaskets is a job, you have to remove everything up top of the engine to get to them, then seal up the spark plugs too if they are in the covers. I did mine a few years back and they are just starting to leak again. It only has 250,000 miles, go figure. Check it out, hope this helps.

Compressing the rear disc brake caliper on 2008 grand caravan

The rear calipers on these models require a special tool that compresses and turns the piston in at the same time -- most parts stores carry this tool.

It is called a caliper piston press -- and it installs where the pads would go and acts like a c-clamp,when turning handle it will turn the caliper piston backinto the caliper as it compresses it.
Anytime the brake rotor or brake pads are being replaced, the rear caliper piston must be seated (bottomed) to compensate for the new brake rotor or lining. Because the Parking Brake self-adjuster mechanism is attached to the piston, a special seating method is required. The only acceptable method is by rotating the piston back into the bore using Retractor,MILLER Special Tool 8807, . Any other seating method will damage the self-adjuster mechanism.
Good luck and hope this helps.

How do i replace front drivers side brake caliper?

Jack the van up, remove the tire. Then you will see the caliper. There will be 2 bolts that hold it on to the rotor. Remove the bolts and pry it off with a screw driver or what ever works. Then disconnect the break line from the caliper. After you get the new one use a c-clamp to press the piston down into the caliper and install the brake pads. Bolt the caliper back into place and install the line. Loosen up the bleed valve on the caliper 1/2 turn and have someone pump the breaks until no air bubbles come out. Once you have a smooth stream of brake fluid coming out the valve have that person pump once more and hold the pedal all the way to the floor. Then tighten the valve.

Need to replace porportiong valve on 2000 dodge grand caravan 3.8 anti lock brakes all around where is it located and what does it look like i bought the part but doesnt look like what is on van

if your asking this you should be working on your family vehicle.
what if you do something incorrectly, or don't flush the hydrolic system properly, and the next time you need to make a panic stop with your family in the van and the brake doesn't work.

Need to replace just the belt for the ac on a 2000 doge caravan

there should by a small pully (called a tentioner) under the alternator pully, get a wrench that fits the nut in the middle and turn it counter clockwise this will loosen the belt to get it around the other pully. Ps. this is easier with two people, one to release tention and one to put the belt on.
