If you can interchange to check and confirm replace the coil. The faulty coil is making up the fault to the cylinder as it fails to have a good spark. so the cylinder is misfiring.
Check also the plug to this coil, however if the othere coils looks good and there are no other issues this must solve the issue.
So CHANGE COIL IS MY VERDICT.

Misfiring on 1 and 4 in an eclipse i replaced crank and cam sensors what else could it be

The ignition coil. Isn't the coil for 1 and 4 the same coil in the coil pack? One way to check is to swap that coil with another in the coil pack, and see if the misfire follows the suspect coil.

How to fix a code P0304

The P0304 code means that the cylinder 4 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 4. If the problem persist more tests needs to be done to diagnose problem, see "Possible Causes"

- Faulty spark plug 4
- Clogged or faulty fuel injector 4
- Faulty ignition coil 4
- Fuel injector 4 harness is open or shorted
- Fuel injector 4 circuit poor electrical connection
- Ignition coil 4 harness is open or shorted
- Ignition coil 4 circuit poor electrical connection
- Insufficient cylinder 4 compression
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Intake air leak
most likely change your spark plugs these should be done every 60,000 km

1997 pontiac grand am with no. 4 cyclinder misfire

What have you checked so far? What engine? Check spark plug for ware, cracks and carbon tracking. Check the ignition wires for damage and voltage leaks, this could be done by spraying the wires with soapy water. If the car runs rough or you see arching replace the wires. Check for spark and check the ignition coil and replace as needed.if you still having problems you may have to check the injector or perhaps do a compression test.

How do you check a dis coil (three coils on Ignition Control Unit) from 1997 Olds Cutlass Supreme 3.1L engine. Might you have the specs? I have a good ohm meter. Hand held OBD unit reports multiple random...

3.1L Engine
  1. Tag and disconnect the two plug wires attached to the suspected coil.
  2. Remove the two screws securing the ignition coil to the Ignition Control Module (ICM).
  3. Remove the ignition coil.
  4. Before testing, visually inspect the coil for carbon paths or cracks which will contribute to weak spark symptoms.
  5. Using an ohmmeter, check the resistance between the primary terminals on the underside of the coil. The resistance should be 0.50-0.90 ohms.
  6. Check the resistance between the secondary terminals. It should be 5,000-8,000 ohms.
  7. If the coil failed either test, it must be replaced.
