Question about 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe
Use a standard fill hose and locate the low pressure port.It will most allways be smaller than the high side connect the hose to the low pressure port after you remove the cap. Then scew the a
can of compreeor oil onto the hose. You will find the oil at most auto parts houses and wal-mart. Start the engine and rev to about 1500rpm. open the can by screwing the house valve and needle in or all the way down. Now back the valve out allthe way. This will allow the oil to flow. Hold the can up-right call that 12 o-clock . After a few seconds rotate the can to the 3 o-clock possition for two to three sec. then rotae back to 12 o-clock. Reapeat this every few second until the can is empty. I know the can will say this end up but it will be ok. Now when canis empty close down the hose valve and dissconnect the hose and replace the cap on low port. If this sounds over your head or you are not sure it only need oil contact an A/C mechanic. Note If it is a new or reman compressor it will be shipped with a fe ounces oil in it. If so then a can of first charge gas and oil will be good enough. hope this help some. Good Luck!
