Check the resonator pipe going from the turbo to the intercooler. they usually leak and set a low charge air pressure code. the seams start to leak. the part is around $70 and is not very hard to replace.

To be quite honest, there's nobody on Fixya who will be able to give you a definitive answer. Turbos can suffer from a number of faults and those faults can sometimes be quite difficult to track down.

It may be worth your while actually contacting a turbo specialist and asking their opinion. What you don't want to do is fit part after part in hope of curing the problem. Your first course of action should be to ask a turbo specialist or good workshop. Yes, it may mean paying for somebody to check things out for you, but it really does save money and bother in the long run.

Obd2 code p1237 on honda civic diesel after engine malfunction light went off car goes into limp mode especially when engine is cold what does obd2 code p1237 mean what is the fault car runs ok then

Boost Control Positive Deviation

This fault code can be set when the fuel tank is empty or the specified fuel is not used. ( supermarket fuels etc have been known to cause this.. )

It can also be attributed to a turbo fault - if the fault is no turbo boost.

Now if i knew what you meant by blew ?? then i might have a idea --most turbo faults are caused by dirty oil and changing the engine oil every 5000miles with a filter every third oil change will stop this problem .The other problem is the turbine vanes breaking off or being damaged by grit where the air filter is missing or a pipe loose or split allowing the thing to suck in unfiltered air but i do know someone with one of these and he sold it in the end and bought a transit as the turbo gave up quite often ,but without taking the turbo apart then i couldnt tell you why they are failing but i do know he kept a small hand held diagnostic machine in the cab and when it went into limp mode he cleared the codes and off he went again .Seem to remember as well the waste gate operating piston playing up i think a rubber tube perished so it didnt open and the increase in pressure as the engine revved up caused the thing to go into limp mode as too much pressure was being generated ,the rubber tube goes from the pressure side of the turbo to the piston its about 4cms long so as the air pressure builds up it this pressure pushes the piston which opens the waste gate which is a little flap on the exhaust side of the turbo into the exhaust manifold so when it opens it allows the exhaust gas pressure to go straight down the exhaust pipe releaving pressure on the turbo vanes .If the pressure in the inlet side goes too high then a sensor will put the engine into limp mode .Hope you understand this technical jargon ?

sensor failing or coming lose and not being able to read engine movement i think they have sensors for tdc and bdc so would check them.on petrol engine they are cam and crank sensors. they fail and sometime don't though up a code until completly gone and then the engine will not start.

In your case the turbocharger is responsible for engine losing power.
The car goes in "limp home" mode!!!
After scan the EDC-15P engine control unit with a VAG or KTS -BOSCH diagnosis tool you will find this: Fault code: P1557-Turbo Boost pressure control exceeded
1. Engine stopped and ignition switch off. Check all pneumatic connections and hoses between turbocharger actuator = pressure unit for boost-pressure control, boost-pressure control solenoid valve, vacuum reservoir, EGR control solenoid valve, intake-manifold flap solenoid valve, EGR valve with throttle - part of intake manifold. Also the vacuum connection between tandem pump and brake booster. If you find something wrong replace parts. If not go to step 2.
2. Extract the hose of the turbocharger actuator = pressure unit for boost-pressure control part of turbocharger. Instead of the original hose you must place another 1 meter long hose with the same inside diameter, and then you check to inspire yourself the air from the other one extremity of this hose. The mechanical connecting rod of the turbocharger actuator must have a smooth and whole motion. If you can do that with your mouth, then you must replace the boost-pressure control solenoid valve. If you can not reach this with your mouth, then you go to step 3.
3. This is the most difficult work. The problem is that the soot particles deposits inside the turbocharger plugging the variable nozzle geometry mechanism = adjustable vanes of the turbine. If the turbocharger actuator is not able to adjust the turbine vanes the charge air pressure increases too much and ECU (engine control unit) goes in "limp mode" = engine protection software. As a result the "limp home" mode engine still running until you turn the engine off (ignition switch off) and back on when the "limp mode" is deactivated, but the fault still remain in ECU memory!
4. You must be able to extract the turbo from the engine and then to disassemble the turbocharger, clean inside adjustable vanes mechanism and refit all.

Its not your clutch. Its one of three things which is regards to your turbo.

Hi,
It sounds like the turbo boost isn't being controlled properly, but this could be due to several things. Check for splits in the air pipework, and then get the N75 valve checked out - this is the item that opens the wastegate on the turbo, effectively shutting the turbo off. Oh, and check that the wastegate actuating lever isn't seized up...
