Turn on headlights and switch to high beams and all the dash lights and headlights go out. I replaced the multifunction switch and the headlight switch.

May I humbly suggest you not turn on the high beams again until the problem is repaired?
There is a small danger of fire.
I am suggesting you have either a wire that is shorted out, as might happen because of an automobile accident, or a headlight relay shorted out.
Often those relays are located inside a black plastic box under the hood of the car.
Sharing the year, make, and model of vehicle could cause someone else with a similar vehicle to offer some assistance as well.
God bless your efforts.

I have a 2000 Saturn LS2 that has flashing dash lights, i.e. warning lights, etc., when I start car. All the dash lights flicker and the gauges drop to zero. What is wrong?

same problem here as well. I'm going to try and replace the ignition cylinder. Does yours start? Mine starts, but can't get out of park unless I move key to run (put in neutral) and start again, Issue dash is going crazy and running light are flickering. I noticed yesterday that the turn signal lever is hot, so it might be some short in the steering column

Parking and dash light flickering

First. I would look for a loose connector plug going to one of the fuseboxes, there could be corrosion in the connector even, Under the hood or under the steering wheel. 2nd. I would try to locate the ECM, could also be a bad connector there as well.

Lights on dash and park lights flicker and wont stop even when turned off.

4 posibilities. 1-a bad ground. 2-Headlamp switch. 3-Battery is getting to the point it wont hold a full charge. 4-The central timer module.

Any one of these can cause this problem. Start by having your battery check, if the battery is OK, then check for a bad ground, try running a ground cable from the negative cable at the battery to the body frame of the vehicle. If this doesn't work, then pull the headlamp switch and see if the connector is burnt and try wiggling the wires and connector to see if any change with the lights. The only thing left is replacement of the switch or module.

Headlights flickering

This could be caused by a lot of different things,,but usually it is the fault of the Headlight Relay.
Try replacing the relay before going further.
