Question about 2002 Toyota Sequoia

Toyota 2002 Sequoia, the two front windows will operate only from the drivers door control and the two rear passenger windows and hatch door window will not operate from any interior control. I can operate the hatch door window with a key in the door and can let in down with the remote.

    What is a body control unit and could that cause the rear hatch door window to lower randomly with no input?

Check the drivers side window lock button, press it down to unlock it and the other windows will begain to operate. This is a safety feature so if you have kids the windows can't roll down using any other switch but the drivers side master window switch

Power Windows Operation
The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. When the driver door module (DDM) receives a driver door window switch request from the DDSA, the DDM examines the request and inspects to see if it has received any messages from any of the other vehicle modules prohibiting the movement. If no prohibitive messages have been received, the DDM then applies power and ground to the driver door window motor to move the window as requested.
When a passenger door module, passenger front door module (PDM), LH rear door module (LRDM), or RH rear door module (RRDM), receives a window switch request from, either the DDSA or the window switch mounted locally to its door, the passenger door module examines the request and inspects to see if it has received any messages from any of the other vehicle modules prohibiting the movement. Power Windows Operation
The vehicle is equipped with power windows controlled by the door modules. Each passenger door window can be operated, either from a switch built into the driver door switch assembly (DDSA), or from a switch mounted locally to its associated door. The driver door window can be operated only from the driver door window switch built into the DDSA.
When a window is operated from the DDSA, the DDSA interprets the window switch signal as a specific window switch request and sends the information to the driver door module (DDM) via the power door serial data circuit. The DDM examines the request and checks to see if it has received any class 2 serial data messages from any of the other vehicle modules (i.e. ignition switch position) prohibiting the movement of the window. If the window being operated is the driver door window, and if no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM then applies voltage and ground to the driver door window motor to move the window glass as requested. If the window being operated is a passenger door window, and no prohibitive class 2 messages have been received, the DDM sends the request, via the power door serial data circuit, to the appropriate passenger door module. The passenger door module then applies voltage and ground to the passenger door window motor to move the window glass as requested.
When a passenger door window is operated from the power window switch mounted locally to its associated door, the passenger door module first checks to see if the DDM has received any prohibitive class 2 serial data messages. If there are no prohibitive messages, the passenger door module powers the associated passenger door window motor.
Both front door windows have the express down feature. This allows the front door windows to be fully opened by momentarily pulling the appropriate window switch lever to the second detente and then releasing.

When one of the local window switches mounted on one of the passenger doors is operated, the associated door module examines the request and checks to see if there are any messages from the DDM prohibiting the movement. If conditions are correct, and no prohibitive messages have been received from the DDM, the associated door module then supplies power and ground to its associated window motor to move the window as requested.

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has the diagnostic tools to diagnose this . Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are ? DTC B3377, B3382, B3387, B3392, B3397, B3452, B3457, B3462, B3467, B3472, B3477, B3482, B3517, or B3522.
Hooking up a factory scan tool checking codes and seeing if the door modules communicate .

How do I fill the rear washer fluid on a 2002 Toyota sequoia


On alot of SUV's, you have to open the back hatch or tailgate, and there is a washer fluid reservoir either in the door jam of the hatch, or inside the back of the truck.

no the motor is stuck remove the back door panel then the 15 screws to acces the motor try tapping the motor while having someone work the switch

Rear Automatic Window


Same problem, there is a small metal stopper that disables the window movement and depending upon the position of the window, will also disable the defroster and wiper. There is a service bulliten that describes a complete replacement of the window control (back door power window inoperable, toyota technical service bulletin EL 007-06). You only need to remove the stopper. follow the sections for that stopper removal. Took about half an hour. The new replacement motor and controller do not use the stopper.
