Question about 2005 Chrysler 300

1 Answer

I own a 2005 Chrysler 300 limited 3.5L V6, On two (2) ocasions today I experienced trouble in igniting my car. On the first ocation I placed the key in the ignition and proceeded to start the car, when nothing happened. I immediately tryed again and it started. I proceeded on my trip when I stopped to pour gas. When I Attempted to restart the car no ignition. I popped the hood to check the battery post and terminals no problem I could see under the hood plus I remember the battery is in the trunk. So i popped the trunk and checked battery everything ok as far as I could tell. Plus after market battery purchased in 2009 sears gold series.

Sounds like you need a starter, or you have a loose wire somewhere under the hood.

SOURCE: battery light comes on, but everything checks out

Did anyone check the charging system while the car is running? Measure the voltage at the battery, it should be around 13.5VDC. If it is below 13V, your alternator is not working. Replace it with a good aftermarket model from Autozone or Advanced.

It is cheaper and more reliable to replace the alternator than to rebuild the one in the car.

There is a recall on the EVIC. Call your dealership and they will replace free of charge.

Windshield washer stopped working in 2005 chrysler 300 limited

Can you hear the (washer) motor run? Have someone hit the squirters with the key on and out your ear to the filler tube to see if you can hear the pump running. If yes, common for the impeller to spin off the shaft of the motor. I have found that the replacements at the auto stores work rather well. Something of a pain to remove the tank though!

2005 chrysler 300, locks back by itself after i unlock it with the remote

It is you ignition on your steering colum. I had a 2004 chevy pick up and it would do it when I left my keys in the ignition. They have a sensor in the ignition and it probably went bad and is telling your car the keys are still in the ignition. More than likely you will have to buy a new ignition.

My key from my chrysler 300 hemi 2005 wont come out of the ignition what do i do?

Move the shifter to the neutral position, then all the way back to park, and your key should come out. It has to be in PARK to get the key out. GOOD LUCK. I hope it is as easy as this for you.

I have a Chrysler 300 C 2005. I crank the turns over just fine then the security light comes on and it shuts off immediately. It will do this a couple more times and then itll turn over like...

Your problem lies either in the key itself, possible internal fault, has it been wet? The other solution if the key is not the issue is the wireless control module the surrounds the ignition cylinder. Try the other key if you have it, chances are both keys do not have an issue so if the same conditions persist with the other key, you would most likely be dealing with a wireless control module. They are not too difficult to install but must be programmed through the Starscan tool that your local Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep dealership has! (they will charge for programming)
