Hi, this is a common problem you need to get the central locking motor replaced in that door, the part can be bought off the shelf and most car spares shops

to replace it you need to remove the door panel/card and then this gives you access to the inside of the door, if your doing the job yourself then its best you buy the part first so you know exactly what your looking for when you take the door panel off.

the motor will have wires going to it that are just clipped in then it will have 2 metal pins coming from it one goes to the inner handle and the other goes to the part that shows you if the door is open or locked these bars are a push fit with a clip holding them in place.

its not a hard job to do but it can be a nightmare getting the door panel off.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page on unrated posts, thanks

Check for a bad switch in the door.
Water leaking from the rag top-door seal joint often drains into the switch, causing a short or bad contact eventually.

How will i repair central locking in 99 toyota yaris on driver side

If all other locks work with the remote and the inside lock switch then the most likely cause is a stuck lock actuator on the driver's door, the door panel should be removed to check and replace it.

Central locking on my Toyota RAV4 is working on opening 3 doos only. Driver door not responding to the remote.

The actuator for the power locks is probably frozen or bad, or else the wiring has broken to it. Or, the body control module is bad.

Good luck in fixing this.

1999 Audi A3 1.8T Electric Windows and Central Locking Won't work

will your passenger door open with the key and is it just one side that your windows are not working or both. if its just one side it might be your regulator motor in the door thats not working if its both it might be your central locking pump usually in the boot. however if both of them are working fine it could be that your key needs reprogrammed however i think the 1st 2 are more likely to be the problem.

Golf 1.4 99 ..central locking not working

Can you operate the central locking once inside the car? Does your interior light come on when you open the drivers side door? If those are both the case, then you may have a bad door microswitch. If your car can't detect your drivers side door being closed, the central locking will not operate from the keyfob. If the microswitch is bad, you may need to take it to a garage to have it serviced as the procedure is complicated. See this website for details:
