Remove the screws holding the front cover and then you will see four bolt screws holding the radio in place, remove them then slide radio out unplug the connrector and antena wire, if installing an aftermarket radio you will need the harness plug to make wiring easy and also a mounting kit to mount radio in car.

Solution 1 does not work! There are no screws whatsoever holding the front cover on my radio/cassette/DVD player. BTW: This is an OEM Toyota radio. (:o(

2001 Weekender. Why doesn't replacement radio work?

The original radio may have been installed incorrectly, therefore the new replacement radio could be duplicating the original, incorrect installation.

Trying to replace a radio in an Nissan Almera n16 (2003), I Is it possible to replace this radio, or because the dash radio/Air-con is all the one?

Look at the bezel around the radio. It just pops off. If it goes up around the instrument panel, look for screws around there. Under the bezel, there will be screws to remove.

97 GMC 1500 radio worked fine and recently stopped. Radio will only work when truck is turned off. Volume will not work either. All fuses are good and wiring to the radio is good after testing. Should I...

radio's do fail if the radio and nothing ells is wrong you can replace the radio. buttons stopping working on the radio is a good sign there is a problem with the radio and nothing ells is wrong with the wiring. it may have over heated some time ago and has been working on borrowed time from the other components in the radio. now working with the engine running is down to there is more volts running into the radio with the engine running . no engine running it will have a steady 12v around. but with engine running it would be around 14v or just under. would replace radio one from same year as yours or same radio code type. hope this helps you

Lights are burned out on radio of 2006 Silverado 1500HD

The lights are internal to the radio. If the radio still works then you will need to remove the radio most likely replace it. I have worked for 20 on cars and have never seen a car that you replace the lights in a radio.
You could call a audio repair shop and ask them
My answer is based on the fact that the lights your talking about are in the radio.

Radio stopped working, won't turn on

There are 2 power supplies for the radio, one constant, one ignition switched. If either one is out then the radio will not work. Did anything else quit working at the same time? In all probabilities the radio is dead and you will need to replace it.

2003 sunfire radio display does not work, but radio does.Help?

Light is burned out in radio. You can replace the front face of the radio from a good one with a good light and put on your radio and the radio will light up and work in your car. If you replace the whole radio you will need to have the radio unlocked.
Remove your radio. Locate a used radio at a wrecker. Put your car is accessory key postion and plug in the radio at the wreckers. if it lights up it is good. Remove the bottom panel on both radios and unplug the 2 wiring plugs that come from the front face. they are side by side. Unclip the front face and plug back into your radio. Replug it in and snap the bottom back on your radio. Plug back in and it will now light up your radio.
The whole procedure should not take more than 15 minutes and all you need is a 7mm socket and a flat screw driver.

If you are more daring you can also buy a cheap am/ fm only radio with a light and replace th circuit board of the back of that one to the circuit board on your radio and use your own front face again. It willl light up and all your items will function regardless of whether the doner board had cd or not. Time on this is 3o minutes and you need a small wrench to remove the screws in the board.

Good luck. I replace about 10 on these each week so the wreckers in my locations no longer have many low end radios avalialbe either. This is the lowest cost way on fixing this issue.
