This could be a fuel filter issue, but more than likely it sounds like a broken down / clogged catalytic converter. to confirm, have an exhaust back pressure test performed. this is a specialized gauge that threads into the oxygen sensor fittings and will tell you if there is excessive restriction. if you plan on keeping this car for a while (more than a year) i recommend using a genuine GM replacement, as the cheaper ones do not last long at all. in any even, it is good idea to change the fuel filter first. good luck!

White smoke and foam in the gas tank indicates antifreeze leaking into the engine somewhere. Do you smell antifreeze? You may have an engine seal leaking, most likely head gasket. It may be affecting the various engine sensors.

Engine stalling

The sulfur smell is usually low grade gas or a problem with the catalytic converter.
In your case I would go for bad gas, especially if the problem just started happening recently. You can try adding premium to the tank and drive it out. You may have to replace the fuel filter once or twice if the gas has water or other contamination.

Sounds like a ruptured diaphram in the fuel pressure regulator. Fuel is being sucked into the motor through the vacuum line. remove vacuum line off regulator and see if there is fuel, or odor of fuel in the line , if so , the regulator is bad. Good Luck

Check for vacumn leaks ! Idle air compensator? clean throttle valve oppenings and air port opening,do you have check engine lite on,check EGR valve? Dirty fuel injectors ,bad pressure regulator?Check fuel pressure at fuel rail,at idle !

Had transmssion work recently. They put in a new speed sensor. Well...now a month or two latwr when i start the car she idles very rough and when i press the gass it feels like i don't have alot of power...

It sounds fuel related the fact that it idles rough and you lack power causes you to press the accelerator pedal more to to get the car to go which in turn causes the transmission to stay in 1st and 2nd gear longer bringing up the rpm's. The problem could be a bad fuel pump not allowing proper fuel pressure to reach the injectors This could also be caused by a bad fuel pressure regulator valve or a bad fuel filter all of these could cause low fuel pressure. It could also be a bad fuel injector or a throttle position sensor (TPS) could also be a bad (PCV) I would suggest having the fuel pressure tested first as I dont think your problem is related to the transmission repair you had done.
