There were 3 or 4 different designed (part number) crank sensors. if they are not matched it will cause problems

After replacing crank sensors you need to do a crankshaft learn procedure you can only do this with a Tech 2 2 or a scanner that has that ability

Engine only stalls when in any gear also when floored engine cuts out at 3000+ rpms

it sounds like a crank sensor if the vehicle stalls in any gear or when cold its most likely a crank sensor. located near the bottom of the engine. there almost always behind the balancer pully for the crank shaft

2004 Crossfire just dies (rarely and randomly) when driving or sitting at a light. Check engine light is on; low coolant light is also on... intermittently. Had it checked at a shop; no codes were found...

the coolant light won't cause it to stall more likely to be a crank shaft sensor possibly only way to find out though is to replace it and see what happens sometimes these things don't throw up codes and would need the scan tool to be on the car when it stalls and won't start again the crank sensor cools down then will work again

Ok so I changed out the throttle position sensor and its made NO difference~my truck is still Idling rough and dieing need some help here please~~

I guess I will start with asking why you changed the crank sensor and the TPS ?
Usually when the engine is stalling at stop signs the problem is a dirty throttle body or a problem with the idle air control valve.
If the check engine light is on it should have a code unless the PCM is failing. I would try another scanner next to make sure the computer does not have any trouble codes.

Van runs good then stalls out. then hard to start. If i let it sit for 5 minutes it starts again no problem. Then stalls again shortly there after.

This sounds like a failing camshaft position sensor and weak crank shaft sensor .When crank shaft sensor gets weak it will stop functioning. When crank shaft sensor stops working then ECM will not control fuel system and the fuel will stop flowing. And this can cause the problem. When crank shaft sensor gets heated it will stop working, but when the car shuts off, the sensor gets cold and works for few minutes and sensor again gets hot and it stalls. ---------- Get the crank shaft sensor tested on your Chevrolet venture. ---------- There are many other possibilities for this stalling problem, but crank shaft problem is indicating in your case. My 2006 Dodge Magnum hesitates sometimes while in

I had the same problem. I replaced the crank shaft position sensor and it solved my problem. It would stall at intersections and while under light acceleration. It also caused loss of cruise control and a stutter when at highway speeds. Replaced crank sensor and its been running solid for 5,000 miles. $125 fix self installed.

Crank shaft sensor or air mass meter, is this a v6? I had the 2,6 a4 same fault same miles funny enough. changed the air mass meter is was ok after that. thing is they have so many sensors, you need to get it on a diagnostic machine to be sure.

Hi I have Sonata 2005 GL Model. Car stalls when I try to accelerate in the stop sign. Some times it stops even running at high speed in highway or at uphill position. Car is still under warranty, Dealer...

Take it back to the dealership and tell them it's not fixed.. that the problem keeps coming back intermittently. Too many possible causes to discuss here. I've frequently seen drivability problems and no error (OBDII) diagnostic codes being stored/set. Ask the Svc Mgr to have a technician check the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and the MAF (Mass AirFlow Sensor). The TPS frequently causes problems with drivability, and doesn't always set a code.

1995 Buick Lesabre custom stalling and idle

did you clean the idle speed control air bypass valve?, u do this by spraying carb spray into the intake while the engine is held at hi idle so it won't stall, use up about half the can, then shut down and disconnect battery for 5 minutes to reset system idle learn, drive the car for a few days and let me know if the problem is fixed.

I had a problem with my Jeep doing the same thing. It turned out to be the Crank shaft senor. It would just turn off even on the highway at 60mph.
If you can change it yourself you will save a lot of money.
