Question about Chevrolet C1500

1 Answer

2003 silverado will start sometimes, sometimes it won't. Seems to start most of the times when it's warm, with low humidity. Read on internet that others have intermitent starting problems under the same conditions, but can't find out what is wrong. Any suggestions? Pain in the rear.

Make sure the battery is fully charge so that u can diagnose it carefully,,,check first the conctions, for loss,,and the starter relay before you replace the starter,,,,intermitent means if the lost connection is shock or wiggle it will contact also the carbon brass of the starter..

Clanking noise coming from Allison Transmission on a 2001 Chrevrolet Silverado 8.1 Liter engine

this does sound like theres a loose line tapping the engine/frame,during warm up the engine idles faster which could make it vibrate faster causing the the clanking or tapping noise,if this has started after trans fluid change, then check the lines running from the trani to radiator sometimes the service person might bang into something causing plastic clips that hold the lines to break, try getting under it and have someone start the truck and listen to see where it's coming from also hold the lines & see if the noise stops, the service guy could have unbolted something & never put the bolt back causing the clank ex.line may have a clip holding it thats bolted to the trani pan ?good luck

What's the problem with my AC conditionor? I have a 2003 Acura MDX. The 1st time I start my car (in a day) the ac is working fine. After driving the car and parking it for 5 min (while the engine is...

Just a thought: If your car has 2 electric fans under the hood one of them runs anytime your AC is on. Make sure one of them is running if you have 2. When your engine warms up both will come on. Check when the engine is cold to see if 1 fan comes on when you turn the AC on. Another thing which has happened to me. I had a bad AC relay after running a while it would get very hot when AC seems to quit working try feeling the AC relay if it is a lot hotter than the other relay that could be a problem. One more thought To add Freon the car has to be running and the AC on.

HEATER STARTS OUT FAIRLY WARM THEN WITHIN A FEW SECONDS BLOWS COOL NOT COLD BUT NOT WARM EITHER

Either your antifreeze level in the radiator is low or the thermastat is stuck open. Both are an easy fix - under $20.

low charge or too high of a charge.
the low side should read 25 to45 psi at idle.
But, if the a/c behaves this way, there might be a restriction in the orifice tube near the firewall

Good luck to you in fixing this problem.

I feel the codes may be the answer here, idle should be around 8-900 rpm. There are a lot of possibilities for this kind of issue and the codes would be a great place to start.

03 suzuki aerio automatic transmition won t shift into overdrive

You have two temperature lights that come on when you start the car, one red and one blue. After the car is started the red light goes out and the blue one stays on. According to the manual, (and from my personal experience with my '03 SX), the car needs to warm up to a proper operational temperature. This temperature is reached once the blue temperature light turns off, (or within seconds afterwards). If you don't allow your car to warm up you will notice hard or long shifting, rough idle, and poor engine performance. Never drive your car if the light displays a constant red temperature light.
If this solution does not work see a Transmission expert of take it to your local Suzuki Dealer.
