Question about 1997 Nissan Maxima
These fans will cycle on and off to maintain a 6 degree difference in temperature from the top of the radiator to the bottom. these have a temperature activated switch that turn them either on the radiator itself or installed in the water jacket of the motor. it should be fairly easy to follow the wires from the fan to the switch/ sending unit. if this cycling of the fans has changed from normal operation replace this switch and it will fix the problem
