Question about 2000 Chevrolet Impala
This kind of problem usually is caused by a bad ground. although im not familar with your model car alot of cars have an access plate in the trunk. if you can access the the top of the tank use a wire with alligator clips and go from the negative side of the pump assembly to the body. if the gauge then stops jumping problem solved. this can also be an internitten power issue and it can be check with the same wire to the cars power source
