Question about Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, the rear tires are almost bald, the front tires are measuring a 3. I do plan on replacing them this week. About a week ago my TPMS warning light came on and my DIC told me to check the front left tire, so I checked the front driver tire w/ a digital tire gauge. The digital tire guage is reading 35ish, but the TPMS system is reading between 20 and 24. The only sensor reading a problem is the Front Left Tire. I did check all of them and they are all around 30 to 35. My question is, should i reset my TPMS with the instruction in the user manual, or should i wait and see if the new tires, properly isntalled and inflated by the shop (Les Schwab) resolves the issue?

President club car golf cart front tires wear out every 3 months.

Maybe your front end alignment is off?
Measure the distance across the front of the front wheels and across the rear of the front wheels.
On this cart the measurements should be almost exactly the same.
Measure carefully as the measurement needs to be exact.
If the measurements are not the same, adjust one or both tierods to make the distance between the front and rear of the front wheels the same.
TIP:AVOID sharp turns on pavement which will also accelerate tire wear.

I need to know the correct PSI for cold tires for this vehicle. My check tire pressure sign is showing up on my dash board. 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. Thank you.

I run about 4 lbs below the max on the sidewall of any tire

That is not what is in any manual or on any B pillar label

So about 36 to 38 in the rear & 40 to 42 on front,
as long as your max is 44lbs

Your spare may be out of air & setting off the sensor
