The heater motor resistor controls the fan speeds. The AC control on Nissan Frontiers also runs through the heater resistor. If one or more fan speeds is not working, the AC will not work properly. Replace the fan resistor if one or more speeds is not operational

AC on 1999 Oldsmobile intrigue not working correctly.

the air feels hot ( compressed) because the ac compressor is not working
you say that occasionally it kicks in and then the air is cold
that could be either a climate control module , thermostat compressor relay problem but which ever way you look at it it will cost cash
the best way is to have the problem properly diagnosed by an accredited ac specialist shop and get a quote and then decide on the fix

Nissan Frontier 2005, turbo diesel,4cyl, Engine missing only in 3rd and to a lesser extent 4th gear. Replaced all filters, cleaned the tank and lines. I think it must be electrical as the engine behaves...

I think this is related and try disconnecting the compressor then try it as if Ac overcharged with gas it will cause the symptoms you describe to a T .Like trying to pump a bicycle pump with your finger on the end ,it cannot be compressed and this is what can happen when the AC is overgassed .

My 2005 Mitsubishi oz rally feels like it wants to stall while I'm driving. The service engine light has not come on. It has only stalled once while at a complete stop.

I checked for Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's) and Recalls for your vehicle, but I found no TSB's related to your problem and the only Recall that has been issued for your vehicle is for a problem with the headlamps.

I can only offer 2 pieces of advice at this point:
1. If it feels like the engine RPM is not correct, i.e too slow or erratic when you are coming to a stop, I would be taking a hard look at the Idle Air Control Solenoid (IAC) These can fail and never set a code.

2. You may want to have your engine computer scanned with a scanner that can check "Vehicle Specific Codes" There may be codes or pending codes stored in your engine control module that have not yet or cannot turn on the Check Engine light. Some of these types of codes are vehicle specific and most generic OBD code readers can't even see them. I have many times found several codes stored without the Check Engine light being on.

Post a comment to let me know how this turns out, or if you have any related questions.

My air compresser wont trun when my air is on ac max but the belt thats on it moves not where the three bolts are

That means the ac compressor is not energized, the ac compressor is not coming on,see if it needs charging,99 percent of the time, this is the problem, have dye put in when the ac is charged,to find the leak, evaporator cores are bad to leak on these carravans, but have the best air,if this was helpful, please rate, thank you.

During a three hour drive back home, our AC stopped blowing cold air. If you stick your hand in front of the vent, you can feel cold air, but it doesn't blow. If you turn the fan up all the way, you can...

Have your a/c pressure tested, the clicking could be the a/c compr coming on and off due to low freon, it will do that so it don't damage your compr when there is none or low freon.

My ac compresser on a 2000 se crewcab frontier

Yes. You can cut it, the only thing it runs is the A/C Compressor.

I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier XL 4X4. I recently noticed that the passenger side floorboard is wet UNDER the floor mat. Could this be the air conditioner backing up?

yes, your a/c drain is most likely clogged up causing the water to come inside the cab. see your nissan dealr. warantee issue. 3 years 36000 miles.

1998 Nissan Frontier AC system

Go to the parts store and buy (for about $10) a mechanics stethescope.  It will have a metal piece you can carefully (MAKE SURE YOU DON"T PUT IN THE PATH OF A MOVING BELT OR FAN) put on the top of the A/C compressor, other end in your ears, and with a helper turning the A/C on and OFF,  you should be able to determine if the sound is coming from the A/C compressor clutch.  If so, replace the compress clutch or compressor.  Form the limited info I have, it sounds like the clutch is bad or on the way out.
If the A/C works (blows cooler than the ambient air), it's unlikely there is any problem with valves in high or low pressure side being in wrong position (especially if no one has been monkeying with them ;~) )
