Question about Chevrolet Cavalier

Have 2003 cavalier....wire for shift selinoid melted and tranny wouldn't shift. Fixed the wire and now the car keeps blowing the transmition fuse. Have had it a various shops and no one can seem to locate the problem please help

Did you trace out the wire to check for more bare spots? There's a reason why it melted. It's also possible that when the wire melted, it did internal damage to the shift solenoid. It may need to be changed. Hope this helps.

I have a 2003 2-wheel drive 2500HD silverado, i accidentally drained the tranny fluid out except for what was left in the pan instead of the oil, realized my mistake shortly after it would rev up before...

Start it up to warm it up, check tranny fluid in park or neutral, if low, put more in. Hope it is junk though. If not low, you never know. I'd runit till it breaks and keep putting in fluid if needed.

I have a 1998 3.8l automatic ford mustang that does not start at all use to start but never shift pass the first gear thought it was the transmition change it but now it wont turn over wat so ever i change...

If the engine does not crank, are you getting battery power at the starter with the key switch in the start position ?
Will it crank in neutral ?

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier and it seems to shift

the transmition is electronic and needs to know some info on how the engine is running
it gets this info from a number of sensorm
rpm, air temp, coolant temp, throttle position.
those inputs need to be checked

If you look on your brake pedal there is a switch that has two green wires. Inspect that and make sure it is not melted or burned, causing you to blow your fuse.

Fuses keep blowing on trailer brakes,cig lighter, power port, and there isnt any power to the port for my code reader

have you checked the wiring harnesses for the trailer power port and cigarette lighter? I've seen it where the casing for the wires for the harness have melted for whatever reason and the bare wires come into contact causing the fuse to blow and any fuse that's put in after

The wiring that fuse protects is shorted to ground ! You don't know how to find a short ? Your best bet ,take it to a shop that can .
