Question about 1995 Suzuki Swift
Get your brake light switch checked.
if car detects your brake lights on for more than three seconds with the pedal down it cuts the signal to the TB to prevent you from traveling back in time.
But if the switch checks out ok then its the pedal assembly that has to be checked. The accelerator pump needs to be checked. Also check the movement of the pedal,if there is any kind of blockage in between causing this ,also check for connections and short in the pedal area.
There is a possibility that certain accelerator pedal mechanisms may, in rare instances, mechanically stick in a partially depressed position or return slowly to the idle position.
This is caused because the accelerator pedal mechanisms concerned may become worn. This progressive wear, combined with certain operating and environmental conditions, can cause friction in the mechanism to increase and intermittently result in the accelerator pedal being harder to depress, slow to return or, in the worst case, stick in a partially open position.
In case of occurrence, the driver may notice that the accelerator pedal is progressively harder to depress or is slower to return. A rough or chattered feeling may also be experienced when depressing/releasing the accelerator pedal.Or is some cases the accelerator will stop showing any effect due to loose connections or worn mechanism, but the accelerator will get reconnected if the pedal is pressed 2-3 times. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
