It sounds like you have a blown head gasket or cracked cylinder head. These are usually caused from the engine over heating. if the leak is that server a quick check would be to fill the radiator with water and leave the cap off, then crank the engine over if the water comes squirting out from the radiator its a good to say its in the head gasket or cylinder head. Your reset switch may have tripped,My 1985 f-150 is located where the passengers left foot would be but up under the dash slightly where the floor heat tubes are.mine has a white button on it.this happened to me and i reset it and it has not happened again.

Just purchased 1982 ford f150. it wont stay running. yesteday, drove it to town, going back it keep dying, would have to jump it off and it would go about 200 yards and die. had to have it towed home ...

It could be a number of causes, but I would suspect water in the tank from condensation from sitting. . I would definatly change the fuel filter . I would also check the distributor cap and button also. It will likely have carbon tracks on the electrodes. I would add a bottle of Dry Gas into the tank to rid the water. I have used a can of wd40 to spray near the vacuum line to see if the engine suddenly picks up speed. If it does, this is a vacuum leak.

On a 97 it is in the feul tank and it is electric. Ona 83 it is on the front side of engine and it is mechanical.

bad connections to the battery or it might be dead might wanna check the starter if ur hearing a clicking noise

Locks go up and down by them self going down the road.i have a ford 150 97

remove the door panel and u will find a shorted wire there or a loose one it may be on the druvers side or the passenger side but thatrs the problem

Just put a tuneup on my ford f-150 93 and mixed up

Firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8.
On the distributor,it goes counterclockwise (CCW). Passenger side is cylinders 1-2-3-4 (front to back). Driver side is 5-6-7-8 (front to back).
