You can get both wire harness diagrams from These are Ford dealer manuals so should be correct. You can get them for $40 to $50 for the pair. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.

What are the wire colors for a 2006 chrysler pacifica tailight harness?

The wire colors should be Yellow, Black, White and Green. Do not cut or splice anything into this harness. Use the trailer lights Tap connector that is already in the harness. It is located in the left frame rail near the rear bumper. The converter is a plug and play operation. No splicing is needed. Simply unplug the harness at the Tap connector and plug the converter T plug in series with the existing harness.

It should not be too hard but there are special sockets to clear the wire, you might get by with a wrench of the correct size, they are either side of the bulge in the front exhaust pipes (the cat converters) and either side of the transmission, are you sure you need all 4?

Wiring Problems?

If the chopped and taped wiring was done by the shop that worked on it, and it worked after they were finished, It's likely that they did the right job (short of replacing the entire harness) but may have done a sloppy job, resulting in your present problem. Removing burned connectors and joining wires is OK, but they should be soldered and carefully taped, otherwise connections can break, or shorts can happen. Check a few connections they made...If not soldered, either bring it back to them and have them do it correctly, or get out your soldering gun and one by one, solder them yourself. One important point though...If you find any wiring that is beginning to melt, then they have fixed the result of the problem but not the cause...That will then need further diagnoses.

Old owner chopped blower motor wiring - need pinout for resistor

It might be beneficial to you to go to a scrapyard and take a look at one that hasn't been chopped up! You may even want to buy whatever has been removed while you are there!
