Question about Pontiac Grand Am
Yes if the catalytic converter is clogged it will cause a loss of power. The engine is sucking in air but cant push it out the exhaust. A quick way to check if the converter is clogged is to remove one of the O2 sensors before the converter. Your neighbors wont be happy with your loud car when you go for the test drive but if the power is restored you know what your next fix will be. Good luck
