The procedure is as follows:--Jack up the front of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands.
Then disconnect the positive post on the battery.
The starter is connected to the battery.
Crawl beneath the truck and unbolt the heat shield, if the truck is equipped with one, using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket set.If heat shield is not in your vehicle the ignore this option.
Unbolt all wiring from the starter using 3/8-inch ratchet and sockets.
Pull out one of the two bolts that hold the starter to the block. Support the starter with one hand, and with your other hand slowly pull the second bolt. The starter is surprisingly heavy, although manageable, so don't unbolt it without first supporting the starter properly. Remove the starter from the truck.
Now once the starter is removed.Install the new starter in reverse procedure.Dont forget to connect the start battery terminal properly.Otherwise you will have starting problem. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
