This is going to sound wrong, but I have been told the window motors will match but not on the same side. For some reason they are crisscrossed. The drivers front matches the passengers side rear motor. The passengers front matches the drivers rear motor.

So basically there are only 2 part numbers for the 4 motors. I was lucky enough to find the exact motor in the identical door I was having to repair on my 1994 Crown Vic. I was thinking to use the front passenger motor for the front drivers motor and thats when I learned about window motors.

My passenger window is stuck up and my 2 back windows fall down and wont roll up

The regulators need replaced in the back ones the front one could be a window motor or a bad switch. Unplug the window motors and hook them up directly to a battery supply of 12 volt power and see if they go up and down. If the motor runs and the track doesnt the cable is broken. If the front window motor doesnt move replace the regulator and motor assembly

My driver side front window does not come down but the passanger side front and back and driver back do go up and down. Do i need to change the power window motor or is it the window regulator for driver...

regulator usually wears out and breaks or gets bound and burns up motor, change them both if available. Good sign of bad regulator is sloppy window in track, or window off track. I always replace them together if they are available. it is possible that you just need a switch, but most likely the reg/motor.

Front window stuck hasnt been working and came down today and wont go back up

You might have a bad window motor or there might be a connection to the window motor that might be curoded. It might be worth taking the door panel off and taking a look to see if you have a bad connection.

Front windows don't roll down

Yes, the power window switch is often faulty, because there is some sensitive electronic making that "auto rolled down". The 4x-switch is quite expensive, 260EUR =( So, I make some new connection. The faulty electronic is only for front windows, so now I connect wires so that I can use front windows with read window switch. (Rear windows is still working by those 2xback window switch) which is located between seats. Here is the conncection, at one's own risk. That 4x-window switch has 14-pins connector: Connect the back windows wires 8(blue/white), 9(red/black), 1 (grey/blac ), 2 t(green/white) to the ground wire 4 (black). Front windows wires 14(blue)->8 13(white)->9 3(white/violet)->2 7(black/blue)->1 If the manufacturer didn't use that "auto rolled down" function, there is no worries of power windows. Also illumination of 4x-switch goes down quite soon, leds will be better. 1999 buick regal. driver window doesnt work and driver rear window won't work but I can hear the motor on back window???

It sounds like the rear window problem is the regulator which is cable driven and the motor attaches too. check and see if your cable is binding up or if the wheels on the track are broken. the front window could be a bad switch or the module you need to test and see if you have power to the front window motor. if you do have power it could also possibly be the motor try to jump power and see if it goes up or down if it does then the motor is good.

The power window on my truck will come down, but won't go back up. The motor seems to be working fine. I need a diagram of all the parts so I can determine which parts need to be repaired or replaced....

The power window regulator and motor come as am assembly. Usually the cable snaps and the window drops down and won't come back up. About a $400 repair.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1. Remove the front window regulator.
    • Loosen the two hanger bolts.
    • Remove the front window regulator bolts and front top run channel bolt.

Driver's window

I have the same problem, its more than likely a sticking motor. I just punch the door panel below the window switch (where the motor is) and it works. You may have to bang it a few times but i have to do it about once a week on the front right or my car.
