Question about Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

I have a 1999 Chrysler Town and Country Front wheel drive. 3.8L motor. The radiator cracked on the top, which made me realize my air conditioning fan has stopped working. I have replaced the radiator and checked the fuses and put in a new temperature sensor. I checked the fuses in the black box under the hood on the driverside. Checked fuses inside under the dash. All appear to be working. Are there any more fuses or inline fuses that I am missing. When I put a test light on the connection plug to the fan wire I have no power. But I did test the fans out and they do work.

Thank you very much. That is exactly what my problem was. I tried everything I could think of but didn't know about the relay and didn't see it until you told me how to find it. Thank You again.

Hi! You will be dealing with a faulty relay here. The fan is driven by a relay that can be found under the hood on front of left frame rail. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

A 1999 chrysler town and country the water level keeps coming on but the levels is full

check the water level in the radiator not the reservoir to ensure that the sensor is faulty as any air in the radiator will put the light on. It works by having a continual circuit passing through the water to earth and when that circuit is broken by air then the light /alarm goes off. Check the wires to the sensor are not broken or loose as that is the same as no water.

Heard clunking noise when turning took wheels off started motor put in drive turned stering wheel heard noise did not see any movement at drive shafts did see motor shifting frount motor mount wore out...

bad motor mounts will cause some issues, bad CV joints will also cause and issue. You will need to check for both. Being a 99 you will also want to check teh front differential for the proper fluid level, this is not the same as the transmission.

Does the 2002 Chrysler Town & Country have a rear differential? or is it a front wheel drive?

They are all front wheel drive and some have an all wheel drive option, so yes it could have a diff in the rear.

2003 chrysler town and country.....air is not blowing in front vents or defrost..checked blower, fuse, and relay all are o.k.

Some of these use the vacuum to operate the flaps that direct the air, check for the small black pipe that comes from the top of the motor.
