If you say the battery is good then i would check the starter, with a test light there are two wires at the starter, one big cable from the battery should have power at all times the other wire should have power when the key is in the crank postion, so if someone holds the key in crank while you test starter there should be power at the small wire oon starter, if theres power then starter is no good, also try to start in neutral and make sure car is in park good.

Why does mercury 2001 click after battey replaced

The battery is either DEAD or the cables are not properly installed (loose or >) The 'clicking' is the starter solenoid trying to engage.

Why after fitting new battery i am still having trouble starting my car,if it wont start first time then the second attempt nothing not even a clicking sound ?

First of all do you have full bright head lamps? If so then it might not be the battey. I would look at the igniton switch startervv relay or the starter. But before that chack all your connection and make sure they are tight.

When turn key nothing happens

check connection and wires at battery for damage or corrosion if good check for power to ignition switch if no power check for damaged or shorted wiring if good turn key and check if power going to relays or accessory's at fuse panel if no power switch may be bad

2002 -Can different tread wear on the tires mess up the computer? I replaced one front tire that was bad and now it won't run. The lights go on and off the dash lights blink like a xmas tree.before it died...

Hi

It has nothing to do with the tyre, I would disconect the battey for around 1 hour, overnight if possible the computer may have been tripped out this can happen a lot on honda' toyotas and other makes so I would look at that first.

Also is the clicking coming from inside the dash or is it the starter motor clicking??? please clarify!
Is the car manual transmission or auto? please clarify.

Get back to me with the detais as I have a couple of things you can try.
Regards
Dan
