Tools for oil change

You only need a few. You need a wrench or socket that fits the oil pan drain plug. Car makers have used all sizes of drain plugs, don't know Saturn's, anywhere from 13 millimeter to 19 millimeter size wrench or socket. One of them will fit yours.
So one wrench (when you find the right one) and you will need a drain pan to catch the oil. Next you will need an oil filter wrench or tool. There are several types and sizes-when you buy the new oil filter you can get the filter remover that fits your filter . A parts person should be able to help you select the right one. Also buy a small funnel to pour new oil into the engine .And don't forget to have a few rags handy to clean up spills and wipe off areas. That's about all that is normally required.

How to give it a oil change

Please read first, and make sure you have everything( did mine the other day, and forgot the filter. 2 trips) we can get you to do this in one easy trip. I do believe in safety first, and will tell you several times. This job takes no more than 30 minutes for a beginner. first the tools, a crescent wrench, or open-box wrench set( between 9/16th to 7/8th.)for the drain plug, a jack, jack stands(safety first), a couple of rags, an oil filter wrench, and an oil catch pan( can get both at the auto parts store). Now the bigger auto parts stores carry a returnable catch pan, to recycle the oil. From the store you will need the filter (store clerk will help you get the right size, just need model, year, and size of engine) and a large container of oil (comes in gallon sizes now. lets jack the truck up( put a brick behind the rear wheels, safety) and now lower to the jack stand on the frame. do both sides. with the catch pan under the oil pan, remove the bolt on the back of the pan (slowly, as you unscrew the bolt, oil will start to leak out, remove the bolt and let the pan drain. now, take the filter wrench, and unscrew the oil filter(careful, its FULL of oil) and set that in the catch pan to drain. Please check the old oil filter to make sure the rubber gasket is still on it. they sometimes stick to the engine block, and the new filter will leak. time to put it together now. taking the new filter, take some oil and rub it on the new gasket(will help with the seal) and screw into place tighten with your hands only(tight as you can(using the wrench might damage the filter). wipe off around the drain hole, and the plug. screw the plug back into place(only tight enough to get a good seal) do not over tighten, it will strip the pan hole. remove everything from under the truck, and take off the stands. refill the oil to the dip stick. and start the truck. Look underneath for any leaks. No leaks. great. let the truck sit for about 15 minutes, and check the oil level (you started the truck, and filled the oil filter). so add the oil you need, and your done. hope this helps you. very easy job to do

HOW TO CHANGE OIL PAN ON F150

Hi. Here's the procedure on how to change the oil pan.

Things You'll Need:
Drain pan
Crescent wrench
New oil filter
Oil filter wrench
Socket wrench
Socket set
Razor knife
Putty knife
New oil pan
Oil pan gasket
6 qt. of oil
Clean towel

    Draining the Oil
  1. 1 Locate the oil pan directly underneath the engine. The oil pan will be held on to the bottom of the motor by 16 to 18 bolts. The drain plug is at the bottom of the pan.
  2. 2 Loosen the drain plug with a crescent wrench. Allow all the oil to drain in to the pan. Tighten the drain plug when the oil is through draining.
  3. 3 Unscrew the oil filter with an oil filter wrench. Place the oil filter with the waste oil.
  4. 4 Rub new motor oil around the gasket of the new oil filter. Pour 1 qt. of oil in to the filter.
  5. 5 Screw the filter to the filter housing with your hands. Do not wrench-tighten as this will strip the threads and make removal of the filter difficult.
  6. Replacing the Oil Pan
  7. 1 Locate all the bolts holding the oil pan in place. There will be 16 to 18 bolts.
  8. 2 Unscrew all the bolts with a socket wrench. Lower the pan to the ground. If the pan is stubborn, tap it with a rubber mallet to loosen the seal from the gasket.
  9. 3 Scrape clean all the gasket material around the bottom surface of the motor. This will ensure a tight seal with the new oil pan.
  10. 4 Place the new gasket around the new oil pan. Raise the oil pan to the motor and screw in all the bolts. Do not tighten the bolts until all are threaded to the bottom of the motor.
  11. 5 Tighten the bolts with a socket wrench. Ensure that all the bolts are tight.
  12. Adding the New Motor Oil
  13. 1 Open the hood to access the engine compartment. Unscrew the oil filler cap on top of the crankcase. Pull the engine oil dipstick from the tube. Wipe the dipstick clean with a fresh towel.
  14. 2 Pour in 5 qt. of oil in to the engine crank case. Insert the dipstick back in to the tube and pull it back out. Check the oil level against the markings on the dipstick. Fill at 1/2 qt. intervals until the dipstick indicates "Full."
  15. 3 Start the truck and allow it to run for five minutes. Allow the truck to sit for an additional five minutes to allow the oil to drain back to the oil pan.
  16. 4 Check the oil level again. Fill if necessary, but do not overfill.

What is the size of the allen wrench needed to fit the oil pan drain plug in a 1995 toyota celica

The oil pan drain plug should require a 14mm hex head wrench to remove. The transmission pan requires a 10mm allen head socket, or wrench to remove. Are you sure you're trying to remove the correct drain? The oil drain should be on the passenger side and on the rear corner of the pan.
