Toyota recommends replacing timing belt, every 60,000 miles, hope this was very helpful.

Need to replace waterpump on my 1990 holden nova(toyota corolla) ,should i replace the timing belt at the same time? and what is the best way of doing this ?

Hi:
You have to remove the timing belt to change the water pump, and if the belt has been on a while, it is smart to change it too, if you are planning on driving the car for a while. If you have never changed a timing belt before, a good investment would be a subscription to : www.alldatadiy.com For about $20, you get a wealth of knowledge about your automobile.
