Hi if you have an automatic gear box then the chances are all you need to get done is have the filter and gearbox oil changed getting this done will improve your problem and should stop it slipping.

if you have manual gearbox then this indicates your clutch is on its way out and it will need replacing, this needs to be done sooner rather than later because if it shatter is could damage the whole gearbox.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Often times a simple fluid / filter change will correct this. If the fluids viscocity has broken down a tranny can and will slip. Good news this should be an easy / cheap fix.

these transmissions will not function properly if they don't have Mercon V in their transmissions. If any other type of ATF was added, it may gel in the tranny pan creating a lack of engagement, followed by a rhythmic vibration/rattle. Try flushing the tranny

doesn't need a rebuild
try an oil change for the transmission as it indicates dirty oil and sticking balves
should have been changed at the 60000 miles mark or 120,000miles
run fault codes to check for torque converter clutch servo/ solenoid problem

Transmission problems. Seems like it's slipping under load. So we can't accelerate except little by little (i.e. rpm under 1400).

Have you had the filter changed..If not i would try this first..If so sounds like you have mechanical problem with the transmission

Sounds like your transmission has come to the end of its life. You can try getting the transmission flushed , and an additive I.E. No Slip added. That might cure some of the problems but obviously if its slipping the clutchs inside are worn out and transmission needs an overhaul.

CHANGE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND ROAD TEST.
IF NOISE IS GONE AND RUNS NORMALLY, CHANGE TORQUE CONVERTOR AND RESEAL TRANSMISSION.

Change your gearbox oil, and clean out the oil strainer.
Should help.

( On some models, you have to remove the gearbox oil pan to clean the strainer )
