I JUST RESOLVED THIS PROBLEM AND IT WAS ACTUALLY THE WIRING HARNESS AND THE JUNCTION BOX THAT IT PLUGS INTO NOT THE PUMP. SINCE MY START TO FINISH EXPERIENCE OF WHICH MY HUSBAND MADE ME DO WITH HIS INSTRUCTION I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP HOW TO CLEAN THE SENSOR TO REPLACING THE WIRING
Remove the fuel line from engine crank car to see if fuel is being pumped from the tank through the filter and lines. I use wd40 to see if there is a fuel problem as it does knock the engine. More then likely it is the pump is not pumping the correct psi and needs replaced. Hope this helps tim
