I have a 8287 series, when I was lifting the jacks a role pin fell out of somewhere and now the passenger side jack will not move up or down, we're was that role pin located so I can fix this

Hello Doug...

No hits on "8287" as a meaningful jack "IDENTITY".

Just a guess here... but if you want to get that jack out... you'd be wise to get a block of wood... a jack stand... and relieve the DISABLED jack... by jacking higher (installment plan).

Stuck jacks can be quite dangerous...
Get it out of there... Then (and ONLY then)

Look to the handle linkage... for your "roll-pin"...

You will be proud

Replacement Bottle Jack?

For the cost and saftey of any your better off with a 1 1/2 ton floor jack not to big but much safer on unsteady ground and as we all know we dont always have good ground to work on that and a good peice of plywood will always save the day if you dont like the look of it wrap it in something like a medium size gym bag my wife loves it doesnt look bad just a bag

We need to replace the fuel pump in our 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan and we're wondering if there is an access panel to make the job easier?

Hi there,
Most all fuel pumps are in the fuel tank now days. That's where mine is in my 94 Dodge ram.You can call an auto parts store and ask them. You have to drop the empty tank to get to the pump. There will be electrical connections and fuel lines on the top of the tank that need to be disconnected before lowering the tank.I would put the front and rear end up on 3 ton jacks for clearance.I always push on the car to check for balance before I get under them.Next I get a 3/4 x 1 foot square piece of plywood to protect the tank from the floor jack Center the jack and barely crack the release so it goes down real slow. When you lower the tank it is best to have a person on both sides to steady the tank. When you see a round place in the top of the tank clean it off really good so that you won't get dirt in the tank. There will be a ring with a notch or two in it.Use a screwdriver and hammer to unscrew the ring. The lid will come off and you can lift out the fuel pump.Put in new pump( I like to test the new pump first) and reassemble. Thank You for choosing FixYa...........Darryel

What Jack and stand to get for my '04 Ram 1500 Short Bed V6?

THE SAFEST CHOICE IS THE 3 TON.. YOU COULD GO WITH THE 2 OR 2.5 TON, BUT WITH THE SIZE OF YOUR TRUCK YOU NEED THE 3 TON..REMEBER TO ALWAYS USE THE JACK STANDS..GOOD LUCK KEITH...
