Cant get transmission bolts in transmisson

when installing transmission make sure dowel pins line up as move transmission toward engine, you have to raise engine slightly to make adjustment before bolts go back in transmission if transmission in a bind not align with engine transmission bolts will be harder to screw in place.

Trying to take out an automatic transmisson out of a 1998 chevy S-10 got all the bolts and electrial and hoses lose but transmission is still hung up need help

Did you take out the bolts that connect the torque converter to the flywheel? If not, this is what is most likely hanging you up. Unlike a manual transmission where the clutch spins freely, the torque converter is bolted to the flywheel. To access these bolts, look on the bottom side of the bellhousing where the transmission mates to the engine. Tou should find an access hole covered with a black plastic plug. The hole should be roughly 2-3" in size. Remove this cover and manually rotate the flywheel using the accessory drive pulle bolt or have someone bump the key until the bolts are visible. If my memory serves me, there should be 4 bolts. Remove these and the transmission should come free. Just make sure it is properly supported to prevent injury. Hope this helps out. Have a GREAT day!

I need torque lbs to bolt on transmisson mount for 1999 kia sportage side and botton mount

The information you need is typically found in a vehicle shop manual or aftermarket repair manual. I'm sure you already knew that, so rather than going out and buying the manual you need go to www.autozone.com and register for free. The free registration will give you access to online repair manuals which will have all the info you need. Keep in mind that the bolts need to be torqued in a specific sequence.

Do you know how to replace a clutch on a 91 chevy s10... i have the parts and dont know where to begin

well spray the connection for the slave cylinder with some WD40 so you can get it apart .
and then you will need to have the truck racked up or need it on jack stands so you can work under it. Good set of hand tools with metric and stander sockets air tools would be a big help and long with a pry bar
1. mark and remove the drive shaft. ( marked in the rear by the ujoint )
2. remove the bolt from the trans mount
3 support the trans and remove the transmisson cross member
4 remove the slave cylinder line
5 remove the bolts for the support bars on the bottome of the trans (move braces out of the way or take them all the way off
6. remove all bolts from any wiring harness that may be attached to the transmisson
7. remove bolts (6) from transmission bell housing while supporting the transmisson . after doing so you may need to pry and wiggle the transmisson losse from the set pins on the engine . remove transmisson and set to the side .
8. remove the bolts holding the presure plate to the flywheel . this will remove the disc also . now you have a choice to make . remove the fly wheel and have it resurfaced or replace it or leave it alone . if it has burn makes (blue discolored areas) replace or resuface . ( it is held on by 5-6 bolts) also i would replace the throw out bearing and slave cylinder at this time in the transmission
9. install new presure plate and disc .( need alignment tool should be in your clutch kit )
10 follow these steps in reverse order to install transmisson . note you will need the toqure specs for the flywheel bolts and the clutch presure plate bolts
11.once you have it all back together you will need to bleed the slave cylinder . witch is a lot like bleeding brakes
MY BEST SUGGESTION IS TO GET A SERVICE MANUL AT YOUR LOCAL PARTS STORE FOR DOING THIS THEY ARE CHEAP .. 25 BUCKS OR LESS ..AND WORTH WHILE
as do this for a living and have manuls i may have forgotten some steps in doing this job but i hope this helps you out

Unable to remove square groove transmisson bolt

Find a piece of keystock the right size and put it into the hole. It is most likely metric. If the 3/8" drive is loose, get 10mm keystock. If it's tight, get 8 or 9 mm keystock.

Wiper transmisson stud striped. how to replace?

goto car shop, get a "self tapping nut", for the thickness of bolt stud you have on the wiper, a self tapping bolt will cut its own threads onto the wiper bolt, follow the instructions that come with the nut - they're all slightly different. You can get these nuts from any well stocked hardware store - they are considered a permanent repair.

Transmisson temp sensor

While waiting for answer from an owner or professional, it is a simple switch usually having two contacts and closing an electric circuit at given temperature. Usually looks like a spark at its visible end, but of course with two or three, seldom more wires. Should be bolted somewhere on the gearbox, look for the wires.
