probly a blowned head gasket take off radiater cap fill full of antifreze when jeep is cold start engine look for bubbles in the radiater if is then the gaskets blown check compression on all cylinders to see if you have a low reading on any cylinder if you do jeep needs a head job.and does your heater blow hot or warm air after jeep is warmed up.if not you got air in your cooling syetem from a blown head gasket. rodger...

85 cj7 rear axle removal

Do you have bolt in axels? or are they held in with C- clips? If its bolt in axels you need to remove the bolts, and you may need an axel puller to get them out. If its got C- clips rear cover on rearend has to come off, and pin has to be removed to get C- clip out to get axel out.

Tail lights but no blinkers or brake lights

there are two turn signal flashers under dash one on fuse box and one next to the light switch have to look up behind dash behind light switch for second I had same problem

if you alter the steering and suspension in any way as far as changing factory settings you need to get an alingment it sounds like you have to much negative caster

Switch from manual to an auto trans

its usually never that easy when switching transmission types and mostly expensive so I wouldn't recomend doing the swap unless you have the time and $$$$$$$$$$$
