Fords often have an impact switch in the trunk, could be anywhere, often on left side near the hinge, with a reset push-button on it. (this is a safety feature to turn off the fuel pump in the event of a crash, but slamming the trunk or rear door hard can trip it)
If you can find it (may have to ask the dealer where it is), push the button, should restore pump operation.

Why want my 93 ford ranger pick up start without pouring gas into the intake fuel pump want come on unless hot wired straight to batt

There is a fuel shut off switch (inertia fuel shut off-opens on impact) in the wiring between the fuel pump relay (in the under-hood fuse/relay box) and the gas tank. It may have opened. I don't know where it is located, it may be behind a kick panel under the dash. You may have to ask someone where it is.

The fuel pump fuse is a 20amp fuse, also in the engine compartment fuse/relay box. This fuse and it's wire is the power feed for the fuel pump relay.

Fuel guage go up and down with little gas in tank

It does not really have a shut off relay, but it does have a relay that powers the pump. The relay is in the engine compartment.
You would need to check for power and ground at the gas tank. Sounds like the ground connection may not be good.

Sometimes car with start right up and other times not at all, its gets no spark when this happens or gas from the fuel injectors

There are two fuses that power the main relay, which powers the injectors and the computer.
I would check that relay first.

I dropped the fuel tank to drain old gas.I put new gas in and turned engine to start it didnt start. Should I be able to hear fuel pump if it is working? This is for a 1990 ford e-150 van. Also where the is...

Turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. You should hear the fuel pump running for 5 seconds if working. This primes the gas to the injectors when doing this. If not heard running check the oil pressure switch for the 12 volts needed to run the fuel pump starts there on that harness. When the engine starts and the oil pressure reaches the normal pressure the computer shuts off that circuit and turns on the fuel pump relay to run the pump. The relay stays on till you shut the engine off

Try checking the black box located just above the spare tire on the chasis side alot of the fuel lines go to that box, in my case i just forgot to connect one ground wire that comes from the black box. let me know if this helps you.
