Check the connections at the distribution center you might also want to unattach it and look underneath for a fuseable link that might have blown out, you will need to test 2 different location on a fuseable link to make sure they are ok.

What is causing my new battery to go dead...GMC Envoy

There is a draw somewhere. Places to look .... glove box light, under hood light to see if they go off when they're supposed to. Hook up an ammeter between the + post of the battery and the + cable. start pulling fuses one at a time while watching the meter until you find which fuse stopped the draw.

What happens if you hook jumper cables to the underhood fuse box power leads unstead of the battery?

You could damage the 125A Mega fuse. When using jumper cables, always connect the positive cable directly to the battery and the negative cable to a large unpainted metal surface in the engine compartment.

After jump starting my 2004 gmc sierra the heat/ac panel and controls wont work

Blown fuse/ relay. check the fuses in the fuse panels. Remember when jump starting any vehicle from 1992 forward, to not hook the negative cable to the battery itself. hook it to a bolt or something on the frame inside the engine compartment. You probably have a bolt or rod sticking up close to te battery that says "ground here." or "place negative cable here" when jumping. Most people never pay attention to it because we were taught all of our lives to connect the negative cable to the battery so we dont look for it.

Bought a used 02 GMC Envoy in August. Passenger

The pass. side door switch seems to have a loose connection on the multi harness connector to the window/lock/seat controls. Or this vehicle is equipt with a door module that does not fail all at once. They will work intermittantly as does yours until they just fail to work. This module HAS to be installed by an authorized dealer so that they may code it to your security settings.

Sounds like the starter is physically loose or going bad and draging.

Fuse box

THERE IS A FUSEABLE LINK BETWEEN FUSE BLOCK & BATTERY, IT IS BLOWN. THE FUSE IS AN INTERGRAL PART OF THE WIRE HARNESS.. YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE LINK. SIMPLY CUT OUT OLD LINK, SPLICE IN THE NEW ONE.
