Should still be under warranty at that age - ask the garage to try known good injectors from a donor car

SOURCE: My 2005 Kia sorento is

best advice i give here is to trade it in quick its a kia need i say more ,check the gearbox oil level with engine running and drive selected ,wheels chocked as for power problem then its a dealer only as the diagnostics on this vehicle are not on the OBDII in the cab but a funny socket under the bonnet ,its so you have to take it to the dealers for any diagnostics ,best is to trade it in and get a ford focus manual with diesel engine .

SOURCE: My wife has a Hyundai

hi,
I've the same probem, it's been 'fixed' twice in the cars life but re-occurs.
I believe the throttle body gets 'gunked-up' possibly due to a faulty solenoid or sensor.
I don't have a full solution but will post when I do.

Kia pregio late start in cold mornings with white smoke

White smoke means antifreeze gets into the combustion chamber and when you start vehicle it burns off. Check oil cap for a foamy residue you could have a blown head gasket or cracked block.

Does the Kabota have glow plugs? Or just compression start?
If glow plugs, let plugs warm a little longer before starting.

I have a c200 cdi mercedes from 2006 (w203 model). in cold mornings (0-2 C) don't want to start. everything works, lights are on, dash is on but engine don't start. i have replaced the battery

Hi
It sounds to me like it could be a glow plug fault !
The glow plugs heat the diesel before it combusts. An easy way to diagnose this is check your exhaust after cranking on a cold morning if you have thick white smoke then you've probably got a glow plug down on 1 of your cylinders or maybe more
Hope this helps Nick

I have a 2006 ford F350 that is hard to start in the morning (cold weather) and blows black smoke when it finally starts. The batteries are less than a year old.

Not knowing your experience with diesel motors,if the glow plugs are not being allowed to cycle it makes starting the motor cold much harder. If it has a block heater package that also helps to plug in. Keeps the coolant warm and in turn keeps the motor warm.

It is sometimes hard to start my jetta tdi. When this happens and I finally get it started, qite a bit of thick smoke comes out of the exhaust. Any thoughts?

It is hard starting my VW 2003 Jetta. It usually take 5 to 10 cranking before it turns over. Then it run normally. It only happens when the car has not been driven for about 6 hours.

F-350 turbo-diesel hard starting

Imagine the white smoke is unburnt diesel. Anybody standing in the middle of it will be able to tell you soon enough.

Most likely culprit is that one or two of the glow plugs aren't getting hot enough. Usually just that the plugs need replacing, but worth checking first that the busbar which runs between them all is getting +12V at the appropriate stage of the process.
