There is no special tools needed, you will probably find the fuel fuel filter beneath the undercarriage of the vehicle, check both sides just below the seating area and if not found there you will have to trace the fuel line from the fuel tank forward intil you locate the fuel filter.

1993 century custom 3.3 v6. Do I need a specialty tool to remove fuel filter? Looks like snap connects on both sides, I thought one side would be a threaded hard line. It won't even downshift to pass

Yes you need a special tool. Any auto parts store will have the internal fuel line retainer clip release tool. If you look at the photo of the filter below the off white plastic clips are the retainers I refer to.

Need to remove a fuel filter for a 2000 buick lasabre

You will need a 16mm wrench and a 20mm wrench to remove the fitting on one side of the filter. The other end has a "quick-connect" fitting. It is located between the fuel tank and the trunk well in front of the EVAP Canister. (See picture) There will most likely also be a bolt in the bracket for the fuel filter (I'm not really sure - some of the fuel filters will just snap out of the bracket.) If so, you will need either a 10mm or 13mm socket with an extension and ratchet.

Control arm bushings

Special tools are required. Definitely not for the novice. An alignment will be needed after the required work is performed
