If idle sound is an issue.... then put a bigger turbo on ur engine... smaller turbo means lesser weight which means that even at idle the back pressure will spin ur turbo blades.... if ur turbo is spooning at idle.. it's a good thing most guys aim at doing that... Dont worry...Be happy

88 Toyota Supra (non turbo) where are the fuel air idle mixture screws located? Have a 5-600 fluctuating idle when warmed up. Three shops have replaced most all motor parts but idle still exists? Thanks

there is no mixture screw as is controlled by the ecu , try a fuel addative as there may be some carbon deposits etc built up on the sensors , get one that covers the catalytic convertor as well as the valves, injectors etc, also check the air intake hoses and vacuum pipes for any sign of wear etc , and the gasket on the throttle body, let me know how you get on

I've got an 85 supra, blew engine in it. picked up an 87 supra w/55k mi. junker. how much of these cars are interchangeable? i want to swap everything i can.!

Most of the parts are interchangeable since during this period there were no major changes made to this model. It was upgraded in 85 and the next modified model was made in 88. so its pretty much the same model & since you have blown the engine, anything else that you want to swap, can be done easily

My 88 toyota supra shuts off when it make boost

If you overboost , there is a sensor that shuts off ingition spark to keep you from breaking your engine.
Have you modified the turbo in some way that would have caused an increase in boost ?

1991 toyota supra blue smoke from tail pipe when get of the gas

The intake valve guide seals are worn and are letting oil slip by under high engine vacuum--as when you let up on the gas. The only fix is to take the cylinder head off and replace the valve guide seals. This problem is pretty normal for an older car with high mileage. It will probably run just fine. Just keep checking the oil level and keep it topped up.
