Question about 2004 Infiniti QX56

1 Answer

My 1995 Pontiac Grand Am SE won't start. When I turn the car on there are NO dashboard lights (NONE), my chime works, the radio works... The battery cables are not rusty. The alternator, starter, and battery are fine. What could it be? I know I have to replace the oil sensor and the fuel filter. BUT that should not control my dashboard lights. I have an after-manufactuer car alarm synced with my engine I had it since April 2006 (4 years). I've never had problems with the alarm and my car not starting before. Could that be a problem please help... I've put A LOT of work into this car... I don't dog her. Plese help.

Had the same problem! I had to replace the Ignition switch, which took care of the problem! You can try that! Thirty-five dollar part!

check that dimmer is turned up ---and check connections around where radio work was done for damaged disconnected line connector also check dash fuses not just fuses from radio --or your radio may not be compatible to your dimmer circuit -most oem radios display are Incorporated with dash functions and after market ones are not

I have a 2001 pontiac grand am and once i plug in the stock stereo the door chime sounds but when i turn the car off and take the keys out of the ignition the door chime still sounds!! How do you fix

Chimes are generated by the radio. Unplugging the radio and then plugging it in can activate the security feature in the radio and is very unwise. You can try resetting it by disconnecting the negative battery wire, then plugging the radio in and reconnecting the battery wire. If that doesn't work, check with a dealer to see if they can reset it, but if the radio has been damaged by what you are doing, you may have to replace it.

Pontiac grand am se 2002 won't turn over and

my pontiac did the same thing and all i had to do was replace the 40amp fuse. you can have someone turning the key while you hit the starter from underneath, if it starts then you need a new starter, if it dont then no, its something else. mine did the exact same thing and it was the 40amp fuse under the hod.
