Question about 2006 Toyota Tacoma

2 Answers

Toyota Tacoma Prerunner 4cyld 2006. Parking lights are out. Bulbs have been replaced and the fuse has been checked (okay). Just brought vehicle in for recall related to throttle pedal and floor mats. I don't know if outage is a cause and effect with recall, but noticed outage within days of return. Both lights went out at the same time. They were working a week ago before the recall visit.

Now the side lights work on a fuse for each side of the vehicle ,the throttle sensor is a recall as the same one is used on citreon and peugeot cars here so its more than one make involved .Two fuses control the parking lights so i would suggest a switch problem or a supply problem from the big power supply box under the bonnet

How do I adjust low idle adaptation on 2005 Tacoma prerunner 4.0

1. Relearn the idle speed by disconnecting the EFI fuse and the ECTS fuse from the under hood fuse box. Leave the fuses out for 2-3 minutes minimum. Reinstall the fuses. Using your finger, push the throttle plates closed completely. Hold the throttle plates closed completely and have a helper turn the ignition switch on. Release the throttle plates as soon as the key is turned on. Reinstall the boot to the throttle body and start the vehicle. Allow the vehicle to idle for 5 minutes. Test drive the vehicle and check for normal idle operation.

2006 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner, 2WD, 4.0L V6, 5-speed Automatic has a severe vibration from the speed of 20 mph to 50 mph, then the vibration will slightly deminish.

Is it the engine vibrating or the car? If its the car itself it sounds like u need to have the tires checked & balanced.

Turn signal is staying on continuously and brake light goes off

check the bulbs or the sockets for damage
or the wrong bulb
you are getting feedback through the wiring
and that lights up the dash

Try turning the parking brake handle and pressing it in. If that does not work then replace the under dash sensor on the parking brake (not the brake pedal). Hope this helps.
