You can disconnect the neg. battery cable for one minute then reconnect it this is the same as rebooting your pc at home.if the problem is not fixed the light will come back on.

The reason the check engine light comes up is due to error codes stored in the jeeps computer memory. get jeep scanned at diagnosis center to get error codes, At diagnosis center you will receive the error code.As per the error code it will detect the exact faulty part in the jeep due to which the problem is occurring.For more help :--- at www.autozone.com its absolutely free to get car scanned.

What? YOiu mean your have error codes but the check engine light does not come on. Normal operation is no check engine light is on. When there is a sensor failure the engine "brain" detects a problem and set's error codes. And this "set" turns on the check engine usually with a red light. Other wise there is a problem with your engine's brain (ECU) or other names.

i'd first make sure i ckecked all of the fluids and fuses ; blown bulbs...then if all thats fine i would disconnect the battery and then reconect it...that could reset it for you...if not go to your local auto parts store and they will put it on the computer for you usually free of charge.....your friend 00buck

have the car scanned to find the problem code ( when light is on ). if no scanner, any auto parts store will scan for free ! have a good one ! it may be in the emissions, you never know. have it scanned.
