HI a lot depends how the car was maintained. I have some customers with model years close to this that do a lot of high way driving and have well over 200K with no major issues. Others just drive the wheels off their cars till something breaks. The best advice i can give you is to have a your regular mechanic preform an inspection for you. He will know the things to look for on this vech. Good luck

Some cars, notably large engined ones, will go to 300,000 plus, depending on servicing, tlc, etc mileage nowdays is not an issue, its the bodywork/interior..

Hi kathy
I am sure that your YUKON engine is not idling smooth.
the problem seems to me like you have a vacuum leak, better check inlet manifold and the vacuum hoses.
good luck

Can you tell me when I should change the timing chain on my 1995 Olds 98 Regency Elite? It has the 3.8 L series II V6. I currently have 116,000 miles. Also, are there performance mufflers with...

If it has a timing CHAIN, I wouldn't bother replacing it until you need a valve job or engine rebuild. The timing chain should last quite a while, especially since it is being lubricated as the engine runs.
However, if it has a timing BELT, at 116,000 miles, you're past due.

My 2000 malibu has 116,000 mile on it . at about 114,000 miles there is a ticking when first starting up . after a few minutes for warm up it goes away. is it something that i should have checked out?

on the 3.1 it is normal unless the ticking does not go away when warm. just keep oil clean and all should be ok. my 2000 malibu does the same thing. all 3.1 engines do this when cold.
