Left side. lay underneath, just in front of the rear tyre. It is encased with a bracket holding it in place, easy enough to get of with a screwdriver but there is no stopper in the fuel line so be prepared to be drenched in fuel.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1986 Honda Civic?

im not sure, but you can check under the car.
most are under the car.

go to the rear of the car, and work your way forward...
follow the fuel lines, from the gas tank..

its probably a white plastic filter,,...it may be sitting in a metal case to protect it..

good luck

Where is the fuel pump located on my 1989 honda civic gl?

If ur car is CARBURETED, follow the fuel line from the carburetor to the pump, usually a mechanical fuel pump would be in the side of the engine block.

If ur car is fuel injected, the pump is in ur FUEL TANK!
Hope that helps u out!

Can't get fuel pump off

the best thing you can do if you're going to do it yourself, is to go to a autoparts store and get a haynes repair manual $18, it'll show you step by step instructions. good luck. it's to difficult to tell you over internet.
