Where is the fuse and what is it's amp value for the cigarette lighter sockets (2) in my 1997 Ford E-150 4.7L van.

HI you will find your fuse box either in your glove box or under the dash on the drivers side. the fuse you are looking for is#23 and it will be a 20amp fuse. good luck

Hello, This 25 Amp fuse(#17) is for your cigarette lighter socket. If you used the socket for something else, you may have bent the terminals inside it. You will need to replace this socket as it is shorting out.

This should not be too expensive. Sometimes the autoparts stores have a display of HELP products for typical repairs and a socket going bad is common.

Above the brake pedal. Pull off the fuse panel. It is a 25 amp fuse #10.

No power to cigarette lighter. have checked and


there are 3 fuses that operate that. #42 (15 amp) power socket, #18 (10 amp) power socket relay (power socket only operates with key on) and #23 (15 amp ) Cig lighter, key on.... have you checked all 3 fuses??

The I/P fuse box has six fuses off by themselves.One side has an open slot. The other has two fuses side by side. The 20 amp fuse closest to the box center ,of this pair, is the cigarette fuse.
