I have owned a 1994 and a now a 2001 chevy blazer and on both suv's the drivers door spring and i think its called a hinge pin on the interior part of the door where the latch connects to the door...

Yes it is very common, the driver side door is the one most used and the factory parts cannot handle it. I have had many break on me if not seperate completely from the door. The best thing to do is go to your local parts store and get a Dorman replacement for them.
Good Luck!

Im changing the hinge pins and bushings on the driver side door of my 01 chevy silverado and the top pin on both the upper and lower hinge will not come out even though I grinded most every edge off of it....

Pin punch. These are a pain but they will come out. They are grooved on the bottom so they don't spin. this is what makes them difficult to get out. just keep hammering away

My drivers side door drops every time I open my door. Is it because of the door hinge or do I need to replace the door pins?

the hinge pins rides on brass bushings. if the door does not latch replace the pin and bushings with oversized ones available at Chevrolet parts department
you will need a sring compressor which is available at Auto Zone

have you ajusted the door catch pin to the corect position and does the door line up you might have to ajust the hinges to level the door properly

check the door lines make sure it hits the pin in the right spot if not grab the pin and loosen it with a pair of vise grips and ajust up down or in and out if required

if it is the hinges loosen the botom and top and slide th hinges eithor way remember to ajust 1 hinge at a time onlt loosen 1 hinge at a time if door needs to go up loosen the botom hinge slightly and pull up on back of door when it's almost closed then open door and tighten botom hinge
if too high try loosening it then push down on the back of door

Replace Drivers side Front Door

1993 to 1997 should be the same. if there are bolts on the hinge, your laughing. if its welded you will have to order a hinge pin kit. the wiring should have a master plug on the truck side.

Drivers side upper hinge is bad 2000 chevy blazer

You need to purchase or borrow a door spring compressor. They aren't too expensive. You might be able to get one from the part store. You can however get it out with a pry bar. But you will need the compressor to get it back in.
