Question about 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck
Any petrol can cause major damage to a diesel engine in a short time , like shattered pistons. burnt valves, damaged injector pump and injectors. The lift pump is the first thing to get working. then bleed the system . Then take from there.

Hi! The problem will probably be on the fuel pump itself. If the fuel pump is faulty it wont take any fuel from the tank to the engine. You will need to have it replaced for it to work. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
