What does service traction control mean

I had this alarm on my 2008 Equinox. I did not have it code scanned, but I found on the internet that a code P0403 or P0405 could suggest a faulty EGR .
I took a chance and replaced it for about $80 bucks and 30 mins. time and it corrected my problem so far.
I think Autozone will run a code scan on your SUV for free and they might suggest something else.

OBD-11 codes 0403 & 0405

code p0403 refers to EGR --circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring--EGR solenoid---ECM
code p0405 refers to EGR valve position sensor A --low input===causes ---wiring ---short to ground---EGRF valve position sensor--- ECM.
By only changing the EGR valve you have not fixed the problems that cause the valve not to work.

when codes are set it does not mean a part is defect ,there is wires connect to it. EGR solenoid are 3 solenoid with 3 holes one 1/7orifice: second is 2/7 third 4/7 pcm command those solenoid to obtain the right amount of exhaust but P0404 said performance is bad and P0405 said circuit A is low or 0volt . pull wire one by one see if it bounce mean wire is cut inside

if you have a obd11 scanner, clear the codes and drive the vehicule for a while ,a good half an hour or so above 30 mph. this will give your onboard computer a chance to relearn system settings.if the code comes back there could be some other sensor malfunctioning or a problem with the onboard computer.ex corroded connections or broken pins.
