Temperature gauge on the dashboard falls to zero while while driving my Pontiac 2010 G3 wave yesterday. Can anyone help with the sensor location in the engine and some suggestions on how to fix this ?

The sensor for coolant temp. will be located in the thermostat housing or intake manifold close to the thermostat housing. It will have 1 wire plugged into it. Apply Teflon paste to threads of new sender before installing. Do not over tighten. Make sure coolant level in radiator is correct.

How can i remove the upholstry on a captains chair (to redo it)

I don't want to be a killjoy, but removing and redoing upholstry on a car seat is quite the hassle. Usually there are a number of trims to remove, then in some cases the armrests to remove, there are also a bunch of metal rings that hold the upholstry to the metal rods that need to be removed, and also the upholstry is glued pretty good to the foam underneath. So you need to eather heat the glue up with a blowdryer or heat gun (while being careful not to melt the foam), or use special products to dissolve the glue, cause if you don't do that usually the foam will just rip appart and you'll be left with a scrapped seat... The best is to either bring it to a professionnal that has all he need to do it, or get a replacement seat that's still good in a scrap yard. Replacement from a scrapyard will be the less costly option. If you still want to do it yourself though, be my guest, although be very careful, patient and observe well before you pull on anything if you don't want to scrap the seat. As for a true step by step method to remove the upholstry, there are none for that anywhere, not even the shop manual. Sorry for the bad news, but this is the best i can do to help you out for now.

I have a cigarette burn in my cloth car seat how do i fix it or do you know somebody that does?

un fortunately a burn cannot be "fixed" because the fibers of the cloth have actually been melted. there are a few gimmiky kits out there that supply you with a kind of color matched putty wich makes the burn less noticable. also you could cover it with seat covers or try a locay upholstry shop. They might be able to take the cloth off the seat, cut out the burned area, and apply a patch.
