Question about Chevrolet Malibu
Disconnect negative battery terminal, raise vehicle, remove splash sheild, if equipped. take wires off of solenoid on starter, remove starter mounting bolts, remember not to mix up wires!! --to install--put starter back in vehicle put in bolts, hook up wires, then replace cable back on battery.Locate the starter, it goes into the bellhousing of the transmission, that is where the engine and tranny meet. Easiest way is follow the wires coming from the positive battery post. It will be a big one. There are usually only two bolts holding it on. But first remove the wires going into it. Be careful with the main one coming from the battery, it is not fused and if grounded long enough will blow your battery up. Check out.Thanks.

your coolant temp sensor on the engine block is probably faulty, however, keep in mind that if it really isn't all that hot outside they may not need to turn on. Once you activate the A/C the fans come on automatically since they have to cool the condensor...
If your car is not overheating do not worry about it.

Remove the starter and jump the connections to a Battery to see if it spins. Make sure you connect positive to the positve end and the neg to the neg end. Hope this helps.
